Green Screen Research for "Pirate vs Pirate"

"Pirate vs Pirate" will be shot with a green screen background that will be changed to white in the editing phase of the project. As I have never worked with a green screen, I researched the technique. Here are what I found to be the key points:

1. The color and lighting of the screen must be as even as possible
2. Do not place anything in the foreground which is the same color as the screen.
3. Plan the layout. Best to have lights straight on and to the side of screen. (Figure 1)
4. When editing, in order to chroma key effectively, select a part of the screen that best represents the color of the whole screen (slight color variation is common due to uneven lighting or material being used).
