Simulated - Initial Ideas & Research (15.10.09)

After doing some brainstorming, I came up with a few ideas that could follow the Mac vs PC adverts, and also a couple others:

Idea 1:

Instead of a Mac vs a PC, I envisioned having an old pirate and a modern pirate. The two would be standing next to eachother and would have a small conversation stating that they were both pirates, and the old pirate would ask the modern pirate what file sharing is and what he steals. In this way file sharing and its consequences would be explained.

Idea 2:

This idea would be the same setup as the previous except it would be a monologue of a real pirate. He would explain that he used to steal treasure but now he steals songs, movies, etc. from the internet.

Idea 3:

Keeping along the lines of comparing a historical pirate with a pirate now. This idea would show a pirate with a treasure chest saying "stolen treasure" and say "THEN" in text, and then would go through a sequence where the pirate is seen stealing cds, movies, and files from other people, and going to a "pirate bay" and handing them all out to other pirates, saying "NOW" in text. This would explain what it is, and at the end would state the consequences for being involved in text.
