Client Project Surgery

Today we had a surgery lesson with our project tutor. We described our existing ideas and plans and received some feedback.

Documentary Feedback
  • Ask more profound questions
  • Find out what is different about Lenny (his hobbies, interests, idiosyncrasies, etc.)
  • Does it need to be 10m?
Music Video Feedback
  • Lighting and smoke may look to "glam" and cliche
  • Needs to be more variety of shots
  • Should provide some sort of narrative
We also decided to drop the live performance as part of the main sections. This is because there is enough work between the documentary and music video and also that in case it doesn't work out for some reason, we would not lose marks on the assessment. One of the reasons it may not work out is because of the importance of getting high quality sound. If the sound is not high quality and can't be used, then we would have not fulfilled everything we said we would do. Also, due to the difficulty in working with the schedules of a large group of people, it may not be possible to film at all. Therefore, we are going to do our best to make it happen and put it in the extras section, however, if it doesn't happen then we won't be at a loss.
